IFS

Since 2013 the company has decided to obtain the IFS Certificate.
The IFS Standard (International Food Standard) aims to facilitate the effective selection of GDO-branded food suppliers, based on their ability to provide safe products, compliant with contractual specifications and legal requirements.

It constitutes a model recognized both in Europe and in the rest of the World. It is one of the standards related to food safety recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), an international initiative whose main purpose is to strengthen and promote food safety throughout the supply chain. Martinucci s.r.l. operates according to the IFS standard at the highest levels (Higher level).

 

UTZ

Since 2015 the company has decided to obtain the UTZ Certificate.
Cocoa is one of the most widespread products in the world and, also for these commodities, consumers’ attention to the sustainability of productions is growing. The consumer, in fact, is today increasingly sensitive to the future of the planet, to the exploitation of resources and directs its purchasing decisions based on sustainability requirements.

UTZ Certified is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 that operates worldwide for the implementation of sustainable agricultural cocoa production. The program proposed by UTZ is very widespread internationally. Already in 2012, 13% of the world’s cocoa production (equivalent to 4.4 billion chocolate bars) and 8% of the entire coffee crop (equivalent to 22.6 billion cups of coffee) were produced by UTZ certified farmers and the UTZ logo is now widespread in 104 countries.
